Yaamba Alpaca Stud is situated in the Macedon Ranges, 1 hours drive from Melbourne GPO and 1 hour drive from Bendigo.

We have been breeding, showing and selling alpacas since early 1999, when we became members of the Australian Alpaca Association ( AAA).

Keen to learn as much as we could about alpacas, we became involved at a regional level. Vivienne being on the VCR committee for four years in various roles including secretary of the Victorian Central Region and both of us  assisting at shows.

From the beginning with the purchase of 3 females, our goal was to breed a boutique heard of quality fleeced alpacas of commercial value. Yaamba stud now runs approximatley 40 - 60 Huacaya.

By staying true to our breeding plan, of selecting quality genetics to compliment our females. Has led us to achieve our success in being consistent winners at Regional, Royal & National shows in both animal and fleece sections. Yaamba's bloodlines & quality stock are now being reconised internationally, with our first export to New Zealand in 2013.

We have a diverse range of quality coloured huacaya  for sale and can put a package together for you to help advance your breeding program.

Vivienne is also a committed spinner and an avid knitter,  so turning our fleece into yarn and end product is certainly a passion of hers. This passion for the feel and qualities of Alpaca fleece led to our creation of Alpaca Bellywaca,  hand knitted childrens clothing. The softness & warmth of an alpaca garment is amazing.

You are welcome to visit us and share our experience in a lifestyle with these amazing animals.
